Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
example: menu is rebuilt when user presses a button. if they want to press the button again, they have to move the mouse before the click will register. this is not ideal.
